Alexandra Hinrichs: writer, reader, historian, librarian, explorer.
I am the author of the picture book, Thérèse Makes A Tapestry, published by Getty Publications (March 2016).
I have MAs in History (History of Childhood) and Library & Information Studies (Youth Services) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I earned my undergraduate degree from Colgate University, where I majored in History and French. My previous job experience includes working as a historical researcher at American Girl and a substitute youth services librarian at Middleton Public Library, both located in Middleton, Wisconsin. More recently I moonlighted as a children’s bookseller at The Briar Patch in Bangor, Maine. Once upon a time I also taught kindergarten at a private Thai school in Bangkok.
Now I am a full-time writer and mother to two small boys.
